| Alan Weissman has established himself as one of Los Angeles’ foremost photographers. A self taught photographer, Alan is now living his dream and was recognized by Kodak for his outstanding work in photography. Alan is a master of lighting. Alan sets himself apart by getting to know his clients before shooting which helps him capture the essence of his subject’s personality. His special affinity for the 1940’s “Film Noir” technique has become his trademark. Alan led a group of professional photographers to South Africa and Zimbabwe and has also visited Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Bali, Cambodia and Cuba. After winning a Kodak International Photography Contest, Alan traveled to China to document traditional Chinese Medicine. His unforgettable journey was captured in spectacular photographs which were displayed as part of a special exhibit that premiered in Los Angeles, in March of 1999. Alan and his photography have been featured on CNN, ABC News, The E! Channel, The FX Channel, How to Look Good Naked, Japanese Fuji Television, and on the German show Mission Hollywood. Alan has also worked shooting celebrity portraits for The Bravo Channel, American Movie Classics, HBO, FOX and National Geographic Channel. Also, Alan has been featured in print in such media as Professional Photographer, Ilford Pro, Backstage West, The Commercial Image, Studio Photography and Design. Alan is currently on the Photographer Advisory Board for the Lucie Foundation.
